Position:  Administrative Assistant

Buxton Consulting Ltd. Is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant to join the Abbotsford, BC office.



The Administrative Assistant is responsible for maintaining office procedures and routines including answering the telephone, ordering office supplies, establishing work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.


Summary of duties:

  • Receive visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing, and announcing them appropriately
  • Answer and forward incoming phone calls
  • Receive and sort daily mail
  • Update calendars and schedule appointments
  • Order office supplies
  • Filing
  • Carry out banking duties
  • Open and distribute email and co-ordinate the flow of information


  • Diploma in a business-related discipline
  • Proven work experience as an Administrative Assistant
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Power Point
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical and computer skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills; attention to detail; and strong ability to multitask
