Participant Success – Lot Attendant/Receptionist
- Program Objective -
The “Virtual Skill for Employment Preparation Program (VSTEP) is designed to reduce the unemployment rate of Young Adults, aged 17 – 29, facing significant barriers to Employment.
- Training Plan Development -
Participant attended 1:1 workshops including job search techniques, resume writing and interview skills. Participant was encouraged and coached to find employment that provided working hours that supported their continued educational efforts.
- Supports Provided -
Participant was supported by the Employment Specialist with required water-resistant pants, fuel voucher and grocery voucher to assist with employment start and retention.
- Results -
Participant obtained a Lot Attendant position with Volkswagen in their hometown. Three months later Participant called to advise Employment Specialist that they were promoted to a reception position.
